Mercedes AMG GT Black Series – The mystery
Mercedes is one of the worst secret keepers in the world. After many leaks in Instagram, Mercedes has decided to do it themselves. Mercedes has released a teaser video featuring the wild new beautiful beast. The range-topping Black Series version known as the new GT Black Series is on the way. Apparently, it is the fastest among the Mercedes AMG GT Black series cars.
Famous English youtuber Shmee is featured in this amazing video leaked by none other than Mercedes itself. Interestingly, this leak video is on Mercedes official YouTube channel.
Design
This all new Mercedes AMG GT Black Series has a V8 powered AMG engine. Also, the new model brings wild and aggressive new bodywork. It also includes a massive adjustable wing, ventilated wheel arches. It also features a distinctive front dive planes and a whopping rear diffuser.
The design seems to be borrowed from Mercedes-AMG’s latest GT3 race car. Which apparently is a machine designed to take part in endurance races at circuits such as Bathurst and the Nurburgring. Official photos or details are not revealed yet. But the video leaked by Mercedes speaks to itself about the brand new Mercedes AMG GT Black Series.
Race car for the road
The rumble of regular Mercedes-AMG GT models has been replaced by a hard-edged blare instead of the muscle car rumble. This apparently suggests that the Black Series adopted flat-plane crank internals. This much anticipated engine layout is used by supercars such as the Ferrari F8 Tributo and McLaren 765LT. Because of this engine layout, these cars can rev higher than conventional V8s while making serious power consistently.
Tales from the Nurburgring where this car is currently being tested seems to suggest that the new GT Black Series car will have around 530kW of power. In fact, this is 100kW more than the already potent Mercedes-AMG GT R.

Like the other Black Serices, these GT cars are also going to be expensive and exclusive. The carbon fibre structure and the special engine AMG has built are very expensive. The car is expected to be released in early 2021. Until then, the less-powerful Mercedes-AMG GT R Pro will rule the roads. While the Pro is only 410 Kw, it is meant to be a circuit car more than a road car. The new car will also feature a steel roll cage, fixed-back seats with racing harnesses. It also features a motorsport-bred mechanically adjustable suspension. The GT R Pro is on sale now priced from $453,200 plus on-road costs. We are expecting the new GT Black series to be more than that.
