A Great Way to Spend £1.75m

Aston Martin teamed up with R-Reforged to revive the V12 Vantage Zagato and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the design house. The cars were first announced in 2019, and now the first prototype pair have rolled off R-Reforged’s production line, according to EVO.

Evidently, AF Racing AG commissioned the cars and only 38 of the models will be built. Moreover, there will be 19 Speedsters and 19 coupes. Also, Zagato is deeply involved in the project.

Apparently, the prototypes are built exclusively for the private Zagato collection. But, IDIADA test facility in Spain will be used to have the finishing touches completed.

These cars get a leg up on the standard cars. The engine is still the 5.9-liter naturally aspirated V12 but it now makes 600 hp. The cars also have a reduced curb weight from the standard vehicle for a better power-to-weight ratio. That means it should do a bit better than the standard car’s time of 4.2-seconds to 62 mph.
