2005 Ford GT for sale

2005 Ford GT with only 7000 mile up for grabs. This 2005 Ford GT is finished in Centennial White with blue racing stripes over Ebony leather, and it is powered by a supercharged 5.4-liter DOHC V8 paired with a six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential. All four factory options are fitted and consist of the stripe package, red-finished brake calipers, BBS forged-alloy wheels, and a McIntosh CD stereo with a premium sound system. Additional equipment includes a front splitter, a rear lip spoiler, power windows, air conditioning, and cross-drilled brake rotors. The car was first delivered to Lithia Ford-Lincoln of Boise, Idaho, and it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2020 and now has 7k miles. This Ford GT is now offered in California with a clean Carfax report and a clean Montana title.

Introduced for the 2005 model year and inspired by the GT40 race cars of the 1960s, the first-generation GT features an extruded aluminum space frame and aluminum body panels shaped through a superplastic forming process. This example is one of approximately 500 finished in Centennial White (WT) and features blue racing stripes, a rear lip spoiler, a front splitter, and a rear diffuser.

The gauge cluster takes design inspiration from the GT40, and instrumentation consists of a central 8k-rpm tachometer, a 220-mph speedometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, boost pressure, and fuel level. The digital odometer shows just under 7,500 miles, approximately 100 of which were added by the selling dealer.

The power train

The mid-mounted 5.4-liter DOHC V8 features an aluminum block, dry-sump lubrication, and a Lysholm screw-type supercharger as well as a water-to-air intercooler. Factory-rated output was quoted at 550 horsepower and 500 lb-ft of torque, which is transferred to the rear wheels through a Ricardo six-speed manual transaxle and a helical limited-slip differential. An oil and filter change was performed in September 2020.

The Carfax report indicates no accidents or other damage and lists registration history in Idaho and Montana along with service history in New York and Florida.
