Lamborghini Sian Roadster 602KW monster just announced

Lamborghini has just launched its brand new Sian Roadster hypercar. Only 19 Sian Roadster cars will be made. The famous Italian manufacturer says that the latest roofless version of the Sian coupe is the most powerful Lamborghini road car.

Engine Power

Engine Power

It features a powerful hybrid version of its naturally-aspirated V12 engine. The supercapacitor-assisted, 48-volt 6.5-litre V12 engine is powering this beautiful piece of art. The new Sian Roadster produces a whopping 602kW. For reference, it is more than 800hp. The Sian convertible can reach 0-100km/h in less than 2.9 seconds. Interestingly, it is 0.1 seconds slower than the coupe . The top speed of this car is 350km/h.

Lamborghini Sian Exterior Design

Exterior Design

The sharp edged Sian coupe looks absolutely stunning. It is difficult for designers to come up with a topless model. So the roof is completely removed. There is no retractable roof. There is no fabric tonneau offered. Rollover hoops are added so that the car remains stable at extremely high speed. Also, it helps the car to feed sufficient air into the naturally-aspirated V12 engine.

The hybrid roadster retains the coupe’s Y-shaped LED headlamps. Similarly, it retains its gaping-wide side intakes and periscope vents on the real wheel arches. At the rear, the same hexagonal LED tail lamps are also retained. The pop-up rear wing feature above the diffuser appears to be lifted from a Le Mans racer.

Interior Design

The model Lamborghini Sian Roadster has a white and grey seats with matching blue detailing. Design elements of its coupe cousin is retained in most places. Also, customers will be offered 3D printed air vents that can be personalized with their initials.

Lamborghini Sian Roadster with Supercapacitors

Super Capacitors

The star of the show is the supercapacitors. They are tucked under the rear boot lid. Supercapacitors charge and deploy much quicker than batteries. They also have significant weight advantage over batteries. They provide enough power for an extra 25kW boost. The system adds only 34kg of mass. With this Sian can travel up to 130km/h for 10km on pure-electric power . The same electric motor overcomes the drawbacks of the single-clutch automated manual transmission. It’s also used for reversing the Sian and low-speed maneuvers. If you don’t know already, this problem is still present in the Aventadors.

Price and Availability

Pricing and Availability

In 2019 Lamborghini said it would make just 63 examples of the Lambarghini Sian coupe. The price of this car is $3.6 million ($A5.2m). The Lamborghini Sian Roaster, a even more limited edition will sell for a price tag that far exceeds the coupe. If you fancy the advanced electrified droptop Lambo to add to your car collection, you’re unlucky. All 19 cars are already adopted by their would-be owners.
