An Absolute Beast

If you’re looking for a beast of a performance machine, then you’d better get excited about the Hennessey Venom F5. Apparently, this all-new car is supposed to be a 300-plus mph supercar. It has been in the works for some time now. The car is scheduled to be revealed on December 15th.

Hennessey Venom F5

Recently Hennessey kicked out a Venom F5 teaser video, which I’ve included below. Moreover, the teaser is a full 21 seconds long and doesn’t show you much (as is the case with any teaser). The good news is that we won’t have to wait too long before we see the whole car.

The specifications for this upcoming model are crazy. According to Muscle Cars and Trucks, you’re looking at a 6.6-liter LS-based twin-turbo V8 engine. This engine is tuned to a whopping 1,817 hp and 1,193 lb-ft of torque.

3,000 pounds is the targeted curb weight of the car. With that kind of power to weight ratio, the car should be a freakishly fast machine. According to the company, it will do 311 mph flat out. That would make it faster than the Bugatti Chiron, which is much more expensive than this car will be. On December 15, look for the official reveal and keep an eye out for #theamericandreamneversleeps on social media.

Hennessey Venom GT

The Hennessey Venom GT is a high performance sports car manufactured by Texas-based Hennessey Performance Engineering. Also, the Venom GT is based on the Lotus Elise/Exige.

Evidently, the Venom GT is powered by a twin-turbocharged 427 cu in (7.0 L) GM LS7 V8 engine. The LS9 architecture incorporates specific design features such as reinforced internal components and additional head bolts with aluminum heads including twin Precision dual ball bearing turbochargers. Moreover, the engine has a power output of 1,244 hp (928 kW; 1,261 PS) at 6,600 rpm and 1,155 lb⋅ft (1,566 N⋅m) of torque at 4,400 rpm. Also, the engine power output is adjustable by three settings: 800 hp (597 kW; 811 PS), 1,000 hp (746 kW; 1,014 PS) and 1,200 hp (895 kW; 1,217 PS). Obviously, the engine has a redline of 7,200 rpm.
