The hunt for barn find cars and abandoned cars are always on in this world. Initiated by famous YouTuber Scott Chivers of Ratarossa Channel, the hunt for project car began sometime ago. The Instagram owner @abandonedcars.peurtorico has found this wonderful Ferrari Testarossa. The car was abandoned for 17 years on the road side. It was never moved on that single spot for 17 years. Interestingly, it has a single owner who owned it right from day one.
Exterior Condition
This Ferrari Testarossa absolutely needs a respray and few touchups. The overall exterior condition is good. There is no visible misalignments of the panels. Overall the lines are straight suggesting there was no major accident to the car. All the fine details of the grill, badge and lights seem to be in good condition. Considering the cost of body panels and all these parts, we can say that the car is in relatively good shape.
Interior Condition
Interior definitely needs some work. Please note that the interior is deteriorated because it is left alone for 17 years. Looking at the video of the interior, overall the condition is good. The seats are original and looks really great. May be the electricals, switches and knobs need to be reworked but overall the condition is not something to worry about. The front boot also has original Ferrari spare parts which itself is worth a lot of money these days. The tires need replacement but the wheels seem to be in OK condition.
Engine Condition
This is the absolute best part of this car. Though it has been abandoned for 17 years, the engine is not ceased. It is cranking and it started as shown in the YouTube video. This is a very big thing for a car abandoned for 17 long years. I didn’t expect this from a Ferrari Engine. This also shows, how good the engine is.
Ferrari Testarossa – Asking Price
The current owner is asking 30,000 USD or 23,500 GBP. Considering the price of similar good condition Ferrari Testarossa cars it seems OK. Also, If you are living in the US or in any North American or South American country, you will get a good deal in shipping. The car can be purchased as a project car and restored to its original glory. Or even selling the panels, parts and parts would also make more money that what you pay for this car.
