700 Horsepower Beast
Ferrari 488 GT Modificata is the all new 700 Horsepower Prancing Horse. If you’re looking for a track-only weapon, then the 488 GT Modificata is the car for you. It’s a limited-edition model that blends together technology developed for the 488 GT3 and the 488 GTE.
This car is designed specifically for track days at Ferrari Club Competizioni GT events. The car utilises a twin-turbo V8 engine that puts out 700 hp. This is more than the GT3 and the GTE. There’s also an updated transmission with new ratios and a carbon fibre clutch.
The 488 GT Modificata is a special car because it’s not limited by the FIA rule book. It’s a track car without any limitations. This means Ferrari engineers could give the 488 GT Modificata some things they couldn’t on other cars.
Track only Beast
The vehicle has a reworked aerodynamics package that produces extremely high down force. The pressure is shifted to the centre forward area of the car. It’s designed to increase downforce without increasing overall drag. Total down force created is 2,200 pounds at 143 mph, according to Carscoops.
The body of this car is made almost entirely of carbon fibre, though there is an aluminium roof and uprights. Also, the braking system has some special Brembo calipers and the ABS system was pulled from the 488 GT3 Evo from 2020.
Standard equipment brings V-Box with Bosch telemetry data acquisition system. Also, a high-resolution rear-video camera, a second seat, and a TPMS system. Apparently, Buyers can add pretty much whatever else they want to the car.
Evidently, This is a limited series model. Ferrari will only sell it to drivers who have participated in a Competizioni GT with Ferrari or Club Competizioni GT. Check out an introduction video of the car below.
